How does the tool handle Indian birthplaces and IST?
The city list includes more than 1,450 Indian cities and towns — from metros to district headquarters — plus major international cities for families abroad. Choosing a city fills in latitude, longitude and time zone automatically.
Birth times in India are recorded in Indian Standard Time (IST, UTC+5:30). The tool uses the IANA time-zone database (Asia/Kolkata), so historical changes such as wartime time in 1942–45 (UTC+6:30) are applied automatically. If your village is not listed, pick the nearest town or enter coordinates manually; a few kilometres make very little difference to the ascendant.

How accurate is this free kundli?
Positions are computed in your browser with the Astronomy Engine library (accurate to about one arc-minute) and converted with the Lahiri ayanamsa; we cross-checked them against the Swiss Ephemeris. Paid reports use the Swiss Ephemeris directly.
Is my birth data sent to your servers?
No. Everything is calculated locally in your browser. Nothing you type here is stored or transmitted, apart from loading the city list.
What if I don’t know my birth time?
Tick “I don’t know my birth time”. You will still get planetary signs, Moon sign and (usually) nakshatra; the ascendant and houses will be hidden because they need the time.
