Mesha and Vrishchika
Supportive with effort · 12/12 sign-level points
Mesha (Aries) and Vrishchika (Scorpio) Moon signs are rated “supportive with effort” on sign-level Vedic factors. As a fire–water pairing with a 6/8 Bhakoot, they earn 12 of the 12 Ashtakoot points set by Moon signs alone. The other 24 depend on each person’s nakshatra, so only a full Kundli Milan gives a real score.

The remaining 24 points (Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Gana, Nadi) depend on each person’s nakshatra — and Varna/Vashya can shift within a sign. Bhakoot points shown assume the traditional cancellation applies.
How do their elements interact?
Fire and water are the most different temperaments: fire acts outwardly, water feels inwardly. There can be strong attraction and real growth — fire learns sensitivity, water learns boldness — but it takes conscious effort. Fire must soften its bluntness; water must say what it needs instead of withdrawing.
How do their temperaments compare?
A movable sign starts and a fixed sign sustains — a practical division of labour. The movable partner may find the fixed one slow to change; the fixed partner may find the movable one restless.
Are the sign lords friends (Graha Maitri)?
Both signs are ruled by Mars, so the Graha Maitri factor scores the full 5 points: you are driven by the same planetary principle.
What is their Bhakoot (sign distance)?
Shadashtak (6/8): the Bhakoot pairing tradition treats most cautiously, associated with friction and differing life rhythms. It is cancelled when the sign lords are the same or mutual friends, and it is only one of eight factors.
What works well
- Mesha brings initiative — comfortable going first; Vrishchika brings depth and focus.
- Friendly sign lords (Mars/Mars) support mutual respect and similar values.
What needs attention
- Mesha works on finishing as strongly as they start; Vrishchika works on trusting before every test is passed.
- Different elements (Fire/Water) mean different speeds and emotional styles.
- The 6/8 Bhakoot dosha is traditionally cancelled here because the lords are the same.
How does each sign love?
Mesha: Mesha loves openly and enthusiastically, and wants a partner who can match their energy without competing for control. Directness is a gift here; learning to soften it during disagreements keeps relationships warm.
Vrishchika: Vrishchika loves intensely and all-in. It needs emotional honesty and privacy; betrayal is hard for it to forgive, while steady loyalty is returned many times over.
Which nakshatras should you check next?
Mesha contains Ashwini, Bharani, Krittika; Vrishchika containsVishakha, Anuradha, Jyeshtha.
